I am going to be in the up and up with you all !!!

As of today I will no longer browse, post, or answer any more questions on O.S.O. but I want to answer a few questions before I go away.
I am not sure if any of you have gone through what I went through on July 17th , 2003 but I can tell you that it was the worst day in my life.I had a tragic accident while testing a 24' here in Biscayne bay where one of the passengers in the boat with me lost his life .I was to the point of not wanting to ever see a Hi - performance boat in front of me ever again. It took me several months to get my spirit up enough to come back to work again. Even though I was CLEARED a few months ago of any wrong doing in this terrible accident It has taken allot of hard work to get back up to speed.
Then on November 2003 we had another bad accident while racing F2-71 that sidelined my Father and I for a few months. But we are SURVIVORS AND WILL BE BACK Soon.
We are not perfect and never claimed to be but I can tell you this I am very proud that My Family and I have with stood 30 years in the boat buisness and have delivered hundreds of boats all around the world.Much more than most manufactures can claim.
Yes, We have ran behind on 4 new boats delivery time frame after my accidents but I can tell you that they will all be delivered soon and you will all see that my Family and I have never ment for any of this to have happened.
When I see a guy like Ron Sellers ( wildthing ) that my Family and I built him a first class 28' Pantera at a very reasonable price last year and took him with his Wife to our family home and out to Dinner upon his delivery and see him now trying to do harm to our business and trying to stir up **** with customer boats that ARE NOT HIS PROBLEM OR CONCERNS really bothers me.
Then a few others that do not own a Pantera boat saying that we are a thief because we have not delivered a boat that is sitting at our shop nearly completed is just an absolute non sense.
I am not going to go and put personal dealings of ours between Pantera customers on the internet because it is not other peoples problems.
I have treated Brian Stubblefield with much respect and spent time with him at races and even sold him a trailer for his pre-owned Pantera at my dead OEM cost and to see him now trying to start negative posts makes me feel like why did I even bother. My Mother has even sent him embroidered Pantera shirts at NO CHARGE TO HIM.
Bottom line is: that we are very busy here at Pantera and have hired a large work force to get the delivery time frame down.WE will be around for many more years and will continue to promote Pantera boats in the race circuit and continue our winning race heritage.
I feel bad for the Pantera customers that support our product and the ones that use this site to have questions answered by me but now I know why other manufactures don't post on here. I feel like we have a Pantera family with our customers and I will continue to feel that way just not on this site.
If any of you need to have any questions answered by me please free to call or email me at [email protected] or call me at 305-948-5600.
By the way: the Pantera factory is open everyday Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM and on most Saturdays so anyone needs to speak to us just walk on in just like Ron Lombard,Scott,Michael Landis have done. The others are also invited to do so.

Hello, Gang,
The only reason Pantera can't finish the boats is that they can't get motors from their distributors because they owe them so much money. They told me last November that they could deliver me a boat in 6 weeks with $50.000 down. If I had gave them $50,000 they woud have put a motor into one of the boats they have sitting around their shop. Then I would have become a victim. I have nothing against the Nunez family, and I have never heard Ron Sellers critisize them. I went through the pain Ron and Sheila went through waiting to get their boat from Pantara. Ron has saved all the E-mail messages from Jo, Pepe, and Linda. Reading these E-mails from months past is very funny. Talk about excuses. When Ron took delivery of his boat his engine serial number didn't match his title, and still doesn't. His Tachometer doesn't work, there is numerous cuts on his interior that Pantera put glue over to try and cover them up. His speakers didn't work. Hydrolic Steering Rams were to long and when the wheel was turned left or right the transom would flex 4 inches. Brakes on trailer were not working at all. Ron almost rear ended a car towing back from Florida. Ron called Pantara about his gauges and they told him to contact Gaffrig. This is bad business ethics. Pantera should have brought all this to his attention. Rather then try to hide it. Ron's boat wasn.t delivered, Ron had to go down and get his boat. He was afraid of more disapointing excuses. Bottom Line.....Pantera could build a great boat, just be up front with their customers and rather then give the delivery date as soon, how's about a date. Until they can purchase engines from Mercruiser they can only say soon. Those are some very nice looking boats, they just don't have any motors in them. Oh, by the way, you've never heard Ron make comments about this.

Wow!
What a shame. Well I understand why Jo is fed up with all this.
We will all loose with no more factory participation from Pantera here.
I have been reading all of this for some time. There are just too many things being discussed about individual boat deals and delivery times. Too many questions being thrown at Pantera from every different angle. Some from the parties involved, some not. For the ones involved this is not really the place.
Pantera completed a engine, transom plate, and drive change and hydraulic steering addition during this same time period for me. It was a month behind when I had first expected. It was also done right and I am very pleased.
When it fell behind on delivery I chose not to discuss it here.
I have seen how hard Jo and Pepe work to get these boats out. My boat had a couple of last minute snags and both Jo and Pepe stayed late with their mechanic. Pepe also called in another mechanic after hours to help diagnose the problem. Thursday night until 10PM and Friday night until 11PM. Jo missed a Friday night date with his fiance.
Pantera puts out one heck of a product. They are built custom to each order and by the nature of their small production facility, production cannot be changed quickly. If it is , then then build quality tends to suffer.
This whole thing here really frustrates me. I do understand what the guys waiting are going through. Yes, Pantera probably does have too many commitments right now but they have gone through some major ordeals. Jo and Pepe make it happen at the factory. There is no one else to pick up the slack when something happens. When I was there, Pepe did not even have full use of one arm after the race accident. Yet he worked anyway.
The Nunez family are very good people who will live up to their commitments.
It's just a real shame we will no longer have their input here.

Greg,
We all agree the Nunez family are nice people. It seems no one has figured out why we are discussing this thing on OSO. When you call Pantara with any type of concerns. Your questions fall on deft ears. They don't return your calls in a timely manor. (If you hear from them in weeks your lucky.) They give you all those posted excuses. We discuss it hear because we hope the Nunez family will get it together BUSINESS WISE! We also hope no one else becomes a Pantara Victim. ( It's the continued BROKEN PROMISES made to buyers.) It seems the company is always in a crisis situation.
Regards.

Greg, I have no beef with you however I totally disagree with you...
The reason Pantera is fed up is because they are being held accountable for their actions,
or their lack thereof. Who likes that? They alone are responsible for their actions!
Another reason this is here is because Pantera sells boats here. Go through Jo's old posts to see his level of customer support. It's all selling with minimal customer support at best. If you live by the internet then you also die by the internet. In other words you get the good with the bad. This is still America and hopefully we can still openly discuss any topic we like, even if others disagree with us. I agree they are good people, they put out a decent product and they are hard workers, but that doesn't answer any of the questions, nor does it build boats. SPIN! SPIN! SPIN! Stick to the subject at hand!
WHEN WILL THESE BOATS GET DELIVERED AND WHERE ARE THEY?
If they are so busy, Pantera should not have taken your boat in for work.
They have way too many existing customer boats too finish.
Did you buy the motor from them or did you supply it?
How do you think Ron L. feels when he is supposed to have the
very first Pantera with a Mercury 525 motor and yours gets delivered
with a Mercury 525 motor ahead of him? How would you feel?
Do you really want your motor story brought into this???
I know a guy named Bill with a 24’ Pantera that would love to hear it.
Did you ever call Bill about your old motor? NO!
I am really sorry this whole thing frustrates you,
and I am sorry you waited a whole month.
But, can you imagine the grief that the guys with unfinished boats have?
We are talking about approximately $750,000.00 in unfinished boats.
You don't even know how hard it is for these guys!
I feel sorry for the man that can’t feel the
whip when it is laid on another man’s back !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To the unbelieving & unsympathetic:
Nothing is more useless than other people’s money that’s at risk. However if it is your own personal money at risk then all of a sudden we want everyone to empathize with us and hear our story. I have seen this reoccurring theme, time and time again on OSO. One guy laughs at another guy’s frustrations or problems and the next thing you know the laughing hyena has a whole rash of his own problems and is the biggest cry baby of all time. Perhaps it will be your money at risk next time, and who will you tell your story to? To those who know hi performance boats of course, and so the world turns!

Pantera - If you had been on the up and up, you would have given delivery dates and/or finished boats to your customers. Stop trying to blame everyone but yourselves for your problems.

Jeremy, you are right!
It's the old "put the ball back in their court" tactics.
The pea and the shell game.
Smoke & mirrors.
3-Card Monte
Bait & Switch
These are antique tactics used to befuddle the customer.
You then start to reason with them and feel bad for them
If you are aware of these games you will stick to your guns!
