Boy those engines look BIG!!

Hey JO:

Have you guys ever thought about staggering them? I realize there may be less cockpit room. I guess you'd have to move everything forward and it probably would change the entire characteristics of the boat. Just thinking that I'd hate to drop my screwdriver.

That is the way Merc sends them, are you implying they are not 496's???

It seems that nothing pleases YOU!!! You need a life. Later, Pepe.

Actually, now that you mention it something does please me. Ron L. gave me a ride in Full Throttle last week and I was extremely impressed by the ride. We hit some big cruiser wakes, and the boat was solid and ran awesome with that 525. You build one hell of a boat when you get around to it!!

Oh yes, one other thing. Those sure look like 496's. They just look a little different than Bill's new 496 ??

Hey JO - PANTERABOATS

I really like the looks of your 28. What type of performance number are you looking at in the 3000-4000 rpms range with twin 496ho and how do they compare to a 28 with a single 525?

Bill

Hey bcoffield:

With my single 525 I run in the 40-50mph range. Real good cruising speed.

Hey Jo, Ive been out of town for a couple of days and just got your response. I would like to make that bet for how ever much you would be willing to put in an escrow account. If Dom can't get his boat for almost two years after paying you IN FULL, I can't really believe you are a person who can be taken at their word on a bet. Let me know how much you can scrape up without hawking any of the parts off Dom's boat, just causing my friend more delays. Remember people are watching here, you said he would be boating on Labor Day weekend. You did mean 2004 didn't you?
