I'm pretty sure the Aggressor is a 24 by Sunsation. Regardless, he was seriously impressed by my 24

It was called the '25 Aggressor. It was 23' 7" x 7 foot beam with a bolt on platform to make 25'. It's predecessor was called the '24 Rocket. I think that was the same length and beam as the aggressor, just no platform.

Finally ran the boat with a gps Friday. 70MPH on flat water at 5250 with Bravo 1 labbed 24. 525efi/xr. I would think there is a few more mph on some chop.

I own the black pantera. Its powered by a 860sc. It spins a 31 pitch at 6200 rpm

I have owned 2 Panteras' , speed as follows ;

1995 Single 540 CI , around 580 hp , torque 630 @ 3800 RPM
turns 5000 RPM , 28 pitch bravo 1 , 74 mph

Last years camshaft turned 5900 RPM , 630 hp , turned a 26 " bravo 1
and ran 77 mph in any conditions.

My 2002 Pantera w/ twin 502 (525 hp each) turned 28 bravo 1s' @ 5200 RPM and in a light chop ran 86 mph .

As far as the Pantera hulls being fast , they are not . there always is a tradeoff for speed vs. roughwater capabilities .The Pantera 28 hull is a very foregiving , stable boat capable of running in big water .Structually , a brick **** house .

I drove a Sunsation 32 - big pad , fast bottom . As far as running this boat offshore in the big stuff , good luck !

So if I were to trying to achieve the 75 mph mark(28 pleasure) what motor make/ horsepower would i be looking at? Whats a good company thats not to expensive but dependable. Should it be done blown or N.A. with pump gas and do we have the appropriate hatch clearance for a blower. My friend has 1991 25 Checkmate with blown 509 making 800hp and runs 92 gps, but its the small weiand blower and I think that would fit. As I know this boat is much lighter and I would have to make gobs of horsepower to catch that thing. Any suggestions motor companies that would be great. That way i can start looking around. I know the obvious companies but man they seem like awful big $$

Mike ,
for a pleasure 28 single , I would go with a 572 CI with a mild cam -
say to 5200 rpm - this will allow you to turn a 30" prop , get a good cruise speed , and good top speed -
a Bravo XR or XZ will hold up OK ( I think)
I have 6 races on my XZ with no problems .

If you want , I have a good engine builder for you - Cal me @ 908-343-6645

The Blown 575 SCI in my pleasure 28 has a 1/2" of room to the hatch, no room for an intercooler upgrade.

One of the best bang for the bucks without going custom is a freshened used HP500efi with whipple- the throttle body is on the back of the blower so it's very short for a blower motor. good reliable efi and computer safegards blower motor.

Pantera 572:

I only ran 66 with a 24p @ 4900-5000 with 525efi today. Any ideas how I can increase that number? Although I had 3 people and a full tank.

Hey Ron!
It's really great to hear you have got her home!
That full tank is alot of weight. My 70 mph was a peak speed. I ran a consistant 68 to 69 with just one person and between 1/4 and 1/2 a tank. Tabs were at #3. I picked up 250 rpm with labbing and I think about one mph. Mine seems to run best with 87 octane fuel with less transom soot also. Sounds to me like you are about right with a full tank and three passengers.
Put some hours on that baby!
Greg
