Apparently Don Arronow gave Charlie McCarthy, (the owner of Banana Boat, Co.), the idea of picking a name that people would remember because it didn't make sense...

Thus, those slow Banana Boats going up an down rivers are the opposite of a 24 foot piece of fiberglass flying over waves...

that clears it up for me.

Dynoed today got mixed results the fuel supley was not enough for it so our numbers stoped at 5100 rpm but @ 5100 876 hp and like 810 pounds of torque. redoing fuel suply try again friday
