Post the add, I'd like to see more of it. Looks like an early to mid 90's SE. Don't worry I'm not buying, just drooling.

Damn out dated graphics. I like that they are putting more modern graphics on the never boat. They won't look so dated then. Nice boat non the less.

I have been talking to the sales person Frank, I sent someone to go see the boat last Saturday12-11 They said it needed to be cleaned up and some little odds & ends had to be fixed. I was ready to make the trip to Miami tomorrow when I asked frank is it to cold for a sea trial and he said no, OK then I will see you tomorrow. Then 5min later he calls back to tell me about the alternator belt is chaffing not lined up???
his boss also said NO SEA TRIAL TILL THE DEAL IS DONE. So here I sit waiting for Frank to call.No test ,No buy!

Definitely don't fly down if they are not ready for you.
I did it a year ago, and I had all my ducks lined up. They still f'd up the paperwork and made me wait around for an extra 2 hrs.

If it was warm here in NY I'd take you for a ride in mine, regardless if it was for sale or not.
Have you ever been in a 24 Pantera?

The boat is owned by a customer that I know named Tony here in South Miami.

The trim tabs need to be fixed since this boat had the 110 S model Mercury K-planes installed that had Electric motors and Salt Water got to them and locked them up.

This boat was powered when delivered by us with a single 7.4 MPI 310 HP Mercruiser and would top out at 67 MPH when new.I drove the boat a few months ago at Eliott Key and could get right around 60 - 62 MPH on GPS. The motor got freshened up and a few modifications were done to it to increase the power and apparently the computer was not re-programmed correctly. It is not running 100 percent right now.My customer was lookin into it and might of been taken care of already.

The interior and rigging seemed to still be in fairly good shape. The back seat could use a re-wrap.

We delivered this boat in the Summer of 1998 and it is a 1999 model.

This picture I have attached was taken by me on the way back from Elliott Key.Tony is a very nice guy.

If anyone needs more info. on this boat just let me know.

Regards,

JO

Jo- do u know why the boat is at power marine.I want the boat but the owner of power marine said no sea trials.Thats scary.

Re: Any info on this 24

I do not know why.

I ran the boat a few months ago and the drive trim pump needed to be replaced because it would not hold the drive out when trimmed. The boat ran around 60-62 MPH on GPS with both of us on the board. The K Plane 110 S model Trim Tabs need to get the Electric motors fixed or replaced since they were not working at the time. The back seat can use a re-wrap in the future but overall the boat is in good condition.

These few minor things might of been fixed by now.

Tony - the owner is a very nice guy.I am sure he could get you out for a sea trial if you are ready to buy.If you need anything for the boat just give me a call or email me.

Thought the same thing as well, but part of the graphics look to be "flip-flop" only seen from one direction. There are alot of pictures on the sellers website.

The info I got last night, the price is now $25.500 + Tax + Tag Transfer + Dealer fee.I was told at the beginning of this ,$24.500 + Tax. Boat motor & trailer.
Still no sea trial. The trim tabs still not working & they no very little about any engine work done.I am so glad I did not make that trip just to be told the new higher price.
If any body wants this boat they should by it now because it seems to appreciate every week.WTF!!!!If any body goes to buy this boat MAKE SURE U GET THE OUT THE DOOR PRICE ON A SIGHNED BUYERS ORDER FIRST. Let the owner sign it and fax it to u.

Crown Man You Can Have The Boat. I Flew Down To Miami Today, Called The Dealership They Told Me To Pick Up The Boat They Said It Was Ready
Upon Arrival I Met The Salseman (frank) Which Told Me Yesterday Before I Left Michigan That The Boat Was Ready.
First The Boat Wouldnt Start We Charged The Battery Second It Had No Gas Third The Trim Tab Motors Were Seized, Both Didnt Work, Fourth The Trim Cylinders And Resiovour Were All Milk Filled With Water Fifth The Power Steering Pully, Idler Pully, and Water Pump Pulley Were Out Of Alignment And Bent The Belt Would Not Stay On. The Motor Mounts Were Jolly Rigged And Improperly Installed When Somebody Replaced The Motor. Seventh The Back Seat Was Ripped In The Back Headrest & On The Front Bottom Of The Seat. I Asked The Salesman Why He Lied To Me And He Said The Boat Would Have Been Fixed But The Head Mechanic Misses Work All The Time Because He Is Hooked On Crack!!! The Only Other Problen That Comes To Mind Right Now Is The Whole Throttle Assembly And Plate Are Corroded. Sighning Off From My Hotel In Fl. Bill

Bill,
I feel very bad for you, I had a very similar experience on a supposedly "Pantera" last year, before I bought the "Orange", and that was with a private party up near Ocala.
I hope you can get your deposit back.
Crownman, why don't you offer them around $15K for it, as is ?

beleive me ,a lot of people know about the bull**** they pull in miami!!,after this last year that passed i will never put down money again for something that isn't done and ready to go,i rather take a used boat or a new one from a dealer cause buying direct from builders to save on dealer fees is not worth the fuc**** headache, and about the boat on the trader,it can be had for 30k,i know the owner and i think he just redid the interior.

Crown Man that sucks but at least you came to look before you bought..alot cheaper than if you had bought it site unseen, then had paid shipping on top to you location.

Had nothing to do with a builder, this boat was a used boat from a dealer.

Regardless, seemed odd a 99 Pantera24 for that money. Must have been poorly cared for for it to have gotten into that shape in that short of time, 5 years. Power Marine has a "project boat" section and they should cut the price in half(obo) and list it as a project.

Age of a boat of this caliber is not nearly as important as its condition.
Powertrain set aside, the constructon of the boat should make it last.
If the boat was a 1993, but in mint condition, wouldn't it command more than a 1999 like this one in question?

Exactly my point. Pantera's on on the top of my list as far as quality. Sure the hull is in next to perfect shape, just a shame to see a newer year Pantera kept in poor condition. They are built so well that it must have been really disregarded to have gotten in such poor mech condition so quickly, especially that it was not stored in water.

Minx, I just guess many people aren't like us(on this site) that are passionate about their boats(cars, etc). But if the boat was in mint condition, they'd probably be asking 30k+.
Whenever I go looking at boats, the old saying keeps coming true... you get what you pay for.
