Re: Who's takin there Pantera's Racing this year?
I just have to ask!
What's is the big deal with selling your boat to someone over seas?! You get the cash in your hand and the boat of your driveway... Can't really see the differences between that and selling it within the US. Isn't cash=cash?! The problems with shipping, customs, paperwork etc belongs to the buyer...

No big deal....
would just be easier to sell to someone in the states, face to face. also, there have been many stories bout scams, via cert or cashiers checks not clearing after the US banks said they were good. I am just being cautious. You've been on here for a while now and Im sure you are a straight forward businessman. But I still need to be careful. I hope you can understand my position. thanks |

Of course! Perhaps I wasn't clear enough in my previous post.
If/when I will buy a boat in the US I will definitely do the business face to face, and make sure payments and paperworks are all correct before the deal is closed. Just like doing business with some other swede. Or in your case - with another american. The face to face deal is definitely worth the $750 flight and a few days vacation in the US... :evilb: It's one thing to buy a prop or a steering wheel over the internet, but when it comes to some more serious values I wouldn't risk getting scamed either. |
