steve I definitely will be down to Lloyd's Creek in the next couple of weeks. Probably not this weekend. The boat has not seen the water since last Labor Day weekend. I will look you up very soon, hell, I have to run you again...I think the results will be the same, but that is what makes boating fun, you gotta try...Hope all is well, Stephen |
did you sell her...

No, the boat is still for sale, we would rather keep it than give it away at a firesale price. The boat is the real deal, looks great, runs great and is all sorted out and dialed in, finally (no problems). I only used the boat twice this past year. I had the boat replumbed, and the new water-pressure relief valves installed, new water pumps, and one new altenator; because of the replumbing and water-testing took time out of the summer, so that contributed to the lack of use.
The boat has been sitting in the garage, taking a nap.... The mechanic that water tested the Phantom after he replumbed the Phantom told me it was running 94 mph; it must have been a cool day and very light on fuel. I have been 92 mph with one passenger on a hot July day. But it runs right up to 90/91 mph loaded with fuel -140 gallons and passengers (4 people). |

Example: I have appeared in Gloucester, Camden, Cumberland Salem, Mercer, and Atlantic County Superior Court (s). I represent defendants in Municipal Courts from Tinton Falls to Cape May and everywhere in between (ie, Trenton, Camden, Bridgeton, Vineland...). I will go where I am needed! Stephen R. Learned something today:
I took the boat to Bob Wallace at Offshore Performance in Egg Harbor Twp., NJ for winterization today. Earlier this summer, Bob and his crew replumbed the boat and put new water pressure relief valves in the boat, and water tested it for me. The mechanic that took the boat for water testing had it running 94 mph, with 60 gallons of fuel on a typical summer day (85F degree). Today I finally was able to speak with that mechanic, and I am glad. The boat was running 94 mph in flat water, and was actually climbing to 95 mph but he ran out of waterway and had to slow down. He just wanted to make sure that I did not blow another hose due to excessive water pressure at WOT. The lesson learned is that maybe I need drive my boat differently than I had been at WOT. The fastest I had been was 92 mph with me and one other person. When he ran the Phantom to 94mph he was driving it solo, no passengers. That is encouraging to me. I need more seat time, and need to use the boat more than twice. And maybe I need to learn form others on how to squeak that last 2 mph to 3 mph. I was only able to use the Phantom twice in 2010. 2011 will be a better boating year for me (in performance boats). The family 15' Boston Whaler still kicks ass, and was reliable, fun, and economical this past summer. So to answer to Bernie's earlier question, the boat is still for sale, but we will not give it away at a firesale price. It is all sorted out and is part of the Karen Jones fleet (my mother) of boats (two boats). I just need a hot girlfriend who likes boating, racing, and looks good in a bikini to go boating with me.... |
Hi Steve
We chatted briefly here before. I believe I may have told you I don't know if I could get used to sitting down. Well every boat I'm interested in seems to be seated and of the ex-race type or poker run. I'm off to Miami to check out the show , the 500 and a 35 pantera at the Pantera factory. If things don't go as well as I hope with those guys, meaning they want huge $, I would love to take a serious look at your boat. Can you please send me the pics you had up of your boat so I can have something to chew on. Thanks , Brian |
