Response has been incredible -- over half the 42 spots have been filled in less than a month! This is a first class event! If you've never run a Poker Run in Northern Michigan -- this is a great event to participate in! For more information go to:

Re: 2005 BoyneThunder
Hi Guys, I've heard alot of great things about that poker run and we a thinking about coming. What is the size range of the boats and is there a minimum cruising speed for the boats? Is it true that they raised over $32,000 for kids with cancer the 1st year? I also heard that all the dinners and party's were awesome, can I get alittle more info on that kind of stuff? Thanks, JB

We raised over $32,000 for Camp Quality -- a summer camp for kids with cancer (www.campqualitymi.org) -- great charity! The kids (because they normally have no hair because of chemo) want me to shave my head to be a little more like them. I might do it at the charity auction on Friday night at Garrett's (www.garrettsonwaterstreet.com) which is a great place to dine and socialize! And, the participant's package start's at just $600 -- a lot less expensive than many of the other Poker Runs.
This is the best kept secret in Northern Michigan!

Re: 2005 BoyneThunder
The boats participating ranged from 24ft -- a great Baja -- to an outragous 45 ft Nor-tech (and everything in between). Plenty of first timers and a lot of experienced Poker Runner! The run was great -- going from Boyne City to Charlevoix to Northport to Beaver Island (great on the open water). The course then goes to Bay Harbor (Petoskey) and then back to Boyne City.
