Emerald Coast Poker Run
Hey everyone, just to let you know the 13th Annual Emerald Coast Poker Run is off to a great start. This year the run will be held on August 20, 2005. There are ten poker run stops and each stop will compete for the number one stop; all ten stops are promising to roll out the red carpet for poker runners and spectators. The grand prize is the winner's choice of one of three Toyota products: Solara Convertible, Tacoma or Tundra truck. The Poker Run Party this year will feature a show band that will rock your socks off and there will be more prizes then ever before. If you register before June 30, 2005, your name will be put in a drawing for a seat at the final table.
The Captain's Party will be at AJs in the Destin Harbor on Friday August 19, 2005 and will include a fireworks display on Norriego Point. AJs owner, Alan Laird has promised to make this the best captain's party on record with live music, great food, as well as a fireworks display on Norriego Point that will have you cheering!
And great news: the Poker Run registration fee includes the official poker run video. The video will be produced by Stu Jones in partnership with Florida Power Boat Club and The Emerald Coast Performance Boat Club so you know that the video will be well worth having. Welcome back Stu!

It’s a whole week of fun that starts on Sunday August 14, with in the Water boat-in movies at Shalimar Yacht Basin. On Monday (8/15), there will be an old fashion ski show and on Tuesday the Ramada Plaza Beach Resort will host a Texas Hold-em tournament with lots of prizes. The tournament winner will take home a great trophy, a grand prize resort package and crowned the Emerald Coast Boat Week Texas Hold’em champ. The rest of Boat Week is geared to bring you a party each night with Helen Back hosting Boat Week Ladies Night on Wednesday (8/18) and Fudpuckers in Destin hosting the Miss Boat Week contest.
And back by popular demand, The WORLD’S LARGEST BOAT PARTY ON CRAB ISLAND WILL BE ON SUNDAY AUGUST 21, so make plans to stay through Sunday. The host hotel is the Ramada Plaza Beach Resort. We’re all looking forward to seeing you this year for a great run and a great week of fun! The website will be updated as we add events and prizes so check it out and come on down, over, or up.
