Finally checking in on this thread! I was bummed I couldn't finish the day with you. Had a fluke problem - broke the pushrod guide plate on the exhaust valve on one cylinder. I was able to run fine on 7 cylinders to Elk Rapids where I put the boat back on the trailer. Installed heavy duty guide plates all around, and also heavier duty pushrods just for good measure. Everything was buttoned up last weekend, and I'm headed to Charlevoix Friday, Aug. 5 for a week of vacation. Looking forward to some trouble free boating and hope the weather is as good as the Fun Run day! Thanks for your concern. Randy |

My Dad hooked my trailer up to my truck at the cottage and drove down to Elk Rapids. Everything worked out fine. The Tahoe's loaded up and I'm out of here for a week!

Are any of you guys going to be on Lake Charlevoix the weekend of Aug. 13-14th? Boyne will be hosting the guys running from Grand Haven to Boyne City and back. They should be hitting Lake Charlevoix around 3-4 p.m. on the 13th, mostly Skaters with a few others thrown in. We will be having a big party for them at Garrett's starting at 7:00 pm, Garrett has his new dock in so we will have alot of the Skaters docked there for you to check out, these guys are coming from as far away as Southern Cal. EVERYONE IS WELCOME, come on up. JB

We migth be doing the poker run and meeting up with the guys out of Leland and coming for the party. Hopefully we will finally get back up to the Boyne area. Any other fun runs planned for August b/f the summer wraps up?
