Re: Ohio River Poker Run
Birdog,
I was wondering who that was! Gonna bring the new toy down? Need all the cigs we can get! That way we can bunch up and keep all those damn cats behind us
What happens when they pass each other ?....Just kiddin (don't matter if your in the right boat ya' bunny ) They never do...
There will be seven stops (7 cards - best of 5) this year.
Aurora Landing (also sponsoring the casino run!)
Mandy's
Constance
Ludlow Bromely
Ross Resorts
New Richmond
Watertown of course
A class (fast boats) will run down river (long leg of the run) in the am so Hotboat can get some speed run shots then B class in the pm. Total course run is approx 130 miles.
Watertown is being run by a new crew this year and they have been very helpful to the event. They are providing two docks so everyone with slip reservations can congregate. They have been at the dredge for a while and all inlet/egress points are marked. We cruised everything in a 38 and depths were fine. Launch ramp will be at 5.5-8.0 ft and you can leave your boat/trailer hooked up at the ramp. They are specifically targeting the areas for the poker runners to ensure max. depth. This is a marina that ACTUALLY WANTS THE GO-FASTERS.
The Reef bar/pool area has been rennovated and the overall condition of the marina is improving. Lets face it folks it's been some hard times on the river the last couple of years for many marinas. At least Watertown has new direction and focus...that chit ain't cheap. Just like all the other businesses down there spread some scheckles... we want them around. If you need info call Rhonda at 513-227-8012/513-899-4153
