When I was at the Atlantic City show I was speaking to the guys from Ocean Performance. I was told that the run is going to leave from Old Saybrook where Ocean Performance is. The run will go to Greenport, Montauk, Block Island, then back to Old Saybrook. This was not the definate stops but it sure sounds really cool. After the run rooms will be provided at Mohegan Sun and the boats will stay at Ocean Performance. Sounds like a real nice time. And the Indians know what hospitality is all about. Not like the Hot Dogs and Hamburgers under a tent like NYC...

Hope this run actually happens!!!!

After Block they will run up the Thames river to the American Wharf Marina which is just north of Mohegan for docking then shuttled to the casino.

The first plan was to put floating docks in at Mohegan but they switched it to the marina right up the river. It's probaly much easier this way.

Sounds like a great run but does anyone have an estimated distance on this one.....might be a little far for me in a 25' boat from Freeport.....and it looks like it is the week before the NPBA Manhasset Bay Run which I will be doing again this year.

Re: LI poker run

I have been to American Warf. Nice marina with floating concrete docks. Never seems too crowded and it is about 10 minutes to Mohegan Sun 20 to Foxwoods. Shuttle bus at the marina.

Wow, this definately just made my Dad's day. We have always talked about a mohegan sun poker run, always seamed like a good idea. Ya know whats really wierd...every year at the NYC Run there is a guy dressed in a Mohegan Sun Outfit, but there is never a Mohegan Sun Boat. Anyone else noticed that?
