Re: 1000 Island
Probably the most convenient is the Raddison in Kingston,ON. It overlooks the Marina where all the Poker Run boats will be.
The rooms have recently been upgraded and we found it clean and convenient to everything. It is in the downtown core right on the waterfront so you can walk to many restaurants and shopping. There is also a Howard Johnsons,
Holliday Inn and Four Points Sheraton. I do not know the name of the Marina but I think it is Municipally run and you likely can find info on the web. Hope this is some help.

Re: 1000 Island
Just want to add if you're not registered officially in the poker run, you won't have a dock for your boat (and you can't reserve a dock for that week-end either even if we're in december!) There's a nearby constructor parking for truck and boat but no lights, and no security. There's another marina 7-8 minutes south of kingston that is accomodating many speedboat.
