Re: Chicago Poker Run 2006
Just got back from the marina. Picked up Vic Spellberg from Formula at the airport, and took him to the Marina. Met Troy from Jack Links, he had his helocopter there and the 47. Rio Roses poker run boat was there along with the Pammy Skater, and another beautiful 36 from Texas.
Boats will be coming in all night. Can't wait to see who's there in the morning.

Re: Chicago Poker Run 2006
The Chicago Powerboat Poker Run, held yesterday in East Chicago, IN, was one of the best functions I have attended in years...if not THE best.
Every detail was covered. Mother Nature got a little nasty and created some challenging waves on Saturday morning, but everything else was perfect.
Mark Smith and his crew are to be applauded for their fine work on putting this benifit together. The marina down in East Chicago was very accomodating to all of the boats and boaters, as well as offering ample parking for all of the rigs and trailers. The hometown boaters were cordial to all of the visiting boaters, which was very much appreciated, because we did make an impressive parade when we were leaving and entering the harbor. Also, the accomodations at The Resorts Hotel and Casino was wonderful, from the rooms to the food and wait staff both evenings.
The entire event was first class in my opinion, and we hope to make this an annual event...as a boater and a sponsor.
WELL DONE, MARK...and the entire Chicago Powerboat Club.

Re: Chicago Poker Run 2006
Brad Zastrow told me it was a very well run event. The only thing out of their control were the 6' waves!!
Nice job to Mark Smith and the whole Chicago Powerboat Poker Run Team!
