The last of the parts I ordered came in yesterday. Just need the machine shop to finish so we can start putting it back together.
What parts did you buy??? I don't consider oil and a filter "parts"! .....and NO, I can't come help you change it either!!

Steering? Hydraulic? Full or assist.
I know what you mean about drilling holes. I installed A/C in my last boat and cringed as I drilled a 3/4 hole 4 inches above the waterline!!!!

Oil filter...dummy!! you don't screw it on, line it up then tap it down with a hammer!!!

External dual ram for now....will add the full kit either this winter or next spring...depends on if I can keep it in my mother in laws garage over the winter.

Now with the oil filter this ain't no Ford motor Russ....no hammering, but I got the big oil filter cup and an adapter to my 1/2 inch impact. That oughta make it tight enough. Sure you don't want me to come down and beat those pistons back into that block? I got it down and I don't even need a ring compressor

Russ, I can't believe it. I've been messing around all winter and I may make it onto the water - reliably - before you! I fired my 'new' engine this afternoon. Tomorrow is clean up, timing, and putting the drives on, then water test Saturday afternoon.

If there's anything I can do to help you out let me know..

I'm liking carbs better with mods. EFI is good if you are near a shop that can tune for you. Gets expensive to work on EFI's.
