Brian I tow down I-295 from I-64 to route 10 every weekend and have not yet had a problem. You just have to know were the big bumps are. If you have the right ball size ball for your coupler it should not jump off anyway.
Just my .02cents. Terry I even had an extra trailer coupler lock custom made that goes over the top of the trailer coupler, over the ball, so I know my stuff is not punk. OSO hauler "BarbieHauler" and Steve lost a 41' Apache on I-295 off the back of the OSO F-650. Granted, the coupler was old and worn. Its not just the coupler I would be concerned about. Depending on how you have your boat strapped down to the trailer, you can flex the boat to the point of gelcoat stress cracking. A couple years ago, Throttle Therapy had the second axle of their Myco trailer come loose, and try to ride up over the first axle due to an I-295 bump. Their Hustler went up damn near 5 feet in the air. |

Nope, I mean for Friday night at Jordan Point. I should have been more clear, as I deviated from the original thought.

For anyone that's interested, I did find one marina down in the Hampton Roads area that carries 93 octane. Sunset Marina in Hampton...

How far is that from the Marina we are staying at? Thats why this run has become such a huge success. You continue to work to make it as user friendly as it can be. Thanks Steve

Both those marinas are in the Hampton harbor. An easy jump over there coming down river before you make the turn onto the Elizabeth river to head towards the Norfolk harbor where Tidewater Yacht is. Update, Bluewater did stop selling 93. So Sunset is about it except Marina Shores. But that is all the way into Lynnhaven Inlet. A LONG run into the far corner of the Chesapeake Bay. Love my 525's! |
