Re: Chicago Poker Run
Hey Cat, last summer we had a 30 ft. Eliminator that ran with us. He did pretty well, of coarse he could'nt run at speed , but the videos look like he was moving along quite well. Everyone runs their boat at a speed that they feel safe in. We all know who can run what speed in perfect conditions, and there's no one there that's got anything to prove to anyone. Safety comes first above everything else. We've got a great dinner party planned for after the run which included open premium bar, steak or fish dinner, many awards to be given out, a unedited video copy of the run from 1 of 5 helicopters that we played on a dozen big screen TV's that were placed all over the banquet room, then more open bar and dancing till 1 or 2 pm. If you have any energy left, you can always try your luck at the Casino which is right down the stairs. We want everyone to attend the party, so it's important that we do the run as safely as possible.
OSO Steve, can you please post the link to that video that was taken from your boat last summer. You did an excellent job of capturing some fine scenery when you reached downtown Chicago, going through the locks, and running the river that goes through downtown. Thanks, Frank |
Re: Chicago Poker Run
Last year we did have 2 nights of open bar which was great.
We HOPE that we can do it again. |

The start of the morning run is about 12 min. into the video. You will be able to see how the conditions were that morning:evilb: |
