Here's a lodge on the lake. I've never been there.

If you come down for the run, you should stay another week to go to the Mt Dora Antique Boat Show. It's on the same chain of lakes. It's really cool. We always have a group of Donzi's running that weekend. We already have Crazy Gators for a lunch run for the weekend Mt Dora.

Btw, Hickory Point is a great place to launch, and meet. Nice ramps, plenty of parking, and a ton of free docking.

I added a bunch of hotel information to the site, here is the link..

http://www.lakeharrisrun.com/gpage1.html

I will tell you that every day it gets a little bigger..

It appears we will have a few changes, and some additions.

Good chance Pepsi will be involved and we will be having the BBQ at Hickory Point as we have rented the Pavilion for that day.

Working on some quite a few other things as well.

Should be a good time for all..

Let me know if I can provide any additional information.

Jack

Yep still on... weather looks to be decent, although to early to really tell.

FRI
03/16
77 F
59 F

SAT
03/17
75 F
62 F

Not sure which hotel everyone is staying at, but we gave a list of local hotels on the site. I would recommend checking here first..

Days Inn & Suites Tavares
15000 US Hwy 441
Tavares, FL 32778 US
352-742-8022
Good boat parking and close to ramps and events.

Its about 2 blocks away from Gators Dockside and other restaurants.

If everyone who "says" there coming shows up we expect to have about 30 boats so far... but we do need people to go ahead and signup on the site so we can confirm the lunch and dinner numbers..

If you have not signed up please do so...

Thanks,

Jack

I was wondering about the turnout also. How many have signed up?
I made reservations at the Inn On The Green. Stayed there before for the Toys for Tots run. I'll go ahead and sign up.

We hope to do this every year from here on out. This event will more then likely be a small event compared to others out there, but it should be a good time none the less.

We made a few changes to the schedule as we ended up getting the Pavilion at Hickory Point for the day. So dinner will be there directly after the run, which should work out better anyway.

Lunch will also be catered now as well. Just more money that can go to charity.

We will be updating the site with the additional information and route maps this weekend and I will post an updated flier here as well.

Right now we have 12 boats and approx. 30 people committed for the run. We were hoping for about 20+, but we will see. Might get a late sign up burst towards the end.

In case we didn't mention it before, we will have aerial photography and video for the run as well. With a smaller group we should be able to get some great shots.

If your on the fence, come on out.. it will be a good time and for a good cause.

See you there..

Jack
