I was planning on leaving Sag in the a.m. on Sunday. What time are you guys leaving? Do you pass to the south of gull Island or South of Fishers on the way out? If it's south of Gull, that's only 13 miles from the main entrance to Sag. From their to Block is another 27. Let me know,

Thanks,

Ron
Hey Ron,

To go to the ramp just go as you would go to Ocean. Keep on driving past there and stay on the same road. You will see the 95 bridge and turn right into the ramp. Just follow the road OP is on and you get there. Just go out of sag past shelter and take a right and you will adventually see Block. The ruines will be on your right. and just keep going on that line.

Hi Ron,

Dan gave you some good info...

Here is my version:
I-95 north and east to exit 67. Bare right as you exit then get in the left lane before you reach the light. Turn left onto Rt 1 north and east. There is gas on your left as you travel up rt 1.
Ocean Performance will be on your right. You will see an on ramp onto I-95 stay right as to not get back on. Follow the road past a few marinas. The boat ramp is under I-95 and will be a right hand turn.

As for the trip to Block:
Gregg (29' Fountain) and I plan to launch our boats around 9:30am on Sunday in Chester. We will leave the dock around 10am traveling south on the river to Old Saybrook. We'll meet anyone that is launching under I-95 at 10:20-10:30am.

I spoke with Anthony yesterday and he believes there will be another 2-4 boats launching in Old Saybrook to run with us.
Anthony will either launch with us in Chester or in Old Saybrook depending on the timing Sunday morning.

After we gather the group, we'll proceed south to the mouth of the River and then east toward Block. Our normal route takes us through the Race south of Fisher's Island.

If you want to run with us for most of the trip, I suggest that you blast back through Plumb Gut and across the Sound to meet us at either Bell #8 (2 miles out from the CT) or just south of Fisher's on the east side of the Race. We normally take a little brake just past the Race to till one, go for a swim, and enjoy the ocean. My best guess is that we'll be at Bell #8 around 11am and through the Race around 11:30.

Give me a call if you would like to talk more.
See you soon...

We'll be out Ron. What Pat suggested sounds good for a way to meet up.

Ron, When are you planning to launch on Saturday?
If you are launching in the morning, my son and I may take a ride down to the ramp to say Hi.
If in the afternoon, I may be able to sneak away and run with you a bit.

Dan, I'm assuming that we will me you and your dad near the ramp 10:30am Sunday.

Pat:

It all depends on Friday night Although I'm shooting for morning launch around 10:30am. Can get into Sag harbor Yacht club around 1. May ditch to Claudio's not sure. I have your cell and will give you a buzz when we're heading your way.

I believe south of Fishers would be the best to hook up. Again time depends on (hic) Saturday. Looking forward to some fun.

Talk soon.

Ron

Hi Scott,
It will be great to have another Superboat!
If your bringing your lovely wife, and do decide to stay over, you will want to avoid our crew though.
This has been planned as a Boyz trip....

This is going to be fun for sure!
Looks like we will be 8-10 boats for the run to Block with
4-5 boats staying over.

I'm going to work on PE next, we need another Superboat!
