Well, from the feedback I got from all that participated, it looks like all had a great time. From the runs down and back to Essex in the Big Water, the time at the Old Dock, the food and cocktails at the Turtle and hearing all of the great stories at yesterday raft at Thayers.
The run went off safetly and with no major mechanical problems considering the big water. It was a fine example of the level of performance boat handling and experience we have on this lake. Thanks again for making it safe.
I'd like thank all who participated on Saturdays run on such short notice. It was a true, local Lake Champlain run, we had a great turn-out. A thanks to our local lake runners from the north, JP, Christian & crew who are fanatic boaters and always make the haul to support and participate in the runs and weekend rafts. JP, I don't think you'll have any problems selling that beautiful machine when the 38 comes out!! Thanks again to Tom and Robin for their support in helping organize. Steve at the Old Dock for accomidating such a large group on short notice. A nice operation. You may need more dockage for next year! And of course Matt at the Naked Turtle for the first class service and entertainment there Saturday night. And I'll throw out one to the City of Plattsburgh for putting out the nice dockage and making it available...another tier would be perfect.
Tom and I will be posting pictures shortly. Unfortunately Saturdays Big Water probably precludes many action shots. Tom, we probably could have used Shirley this time although some of us were flying at her altitude anyway!!
