Florida Spring Trip
#1
A few of us from the RPBA (Richmond, Va.)
We are getting a spring trip ,March, together and are planning on heading to Florida and want to end up at Miami or the top part of the Keys. We would like to have a few days at each marina and plan on boating for 6 days.
Would also like to stay at each stop two days, so we need three different spots. Would like to baot about half a day between each stop. Where should we put in and are there nice ramps and safe parking around? An
Any help would be great. Thanks

We did a trip from West Palm Beach to Key West 5 years ago, was looking to not go as far south. Miami or the top part of the keys is as far a we want to go. Looking for a good ramp and safe parking???
Want to stop at 3-4 places, each a 2 day stay, time to sightsee.
Looking to put in above West Palm.....
Any suggestions???

If you start in the WPB area you might as well start in Jupiter, FL. The ramps at Burt Reynolds park are brand new and if you park on the east side it abutts a very busy fire station. I would knock on their door and tell them your trucks are parked there for a few days/ keep an eye out.
The ramps further south are ok for daytrips but not for a week of overnights.
Jupiter to Port Everglades is about 60 miles passing Lake Worth (Palm Beach) inlet, Boynton, Boca and Hillsboro on the way to south. We are running (if the water is good, today is 5-7 ft) from Jupiter to Coconut Grove (south Miami)this weekend.

Just be aware the water in the winter can be rough, significantly rougher than the summer months.
