Going to make it down to the Miami Boat Show for the first time.......where's the best place to stay?

I have been going to the show for the past two years, so I may not be your best guide. I will tell you that, if the budget is no option, South Beach is the happening scene. If you are going to be conservative I would look at hotels outside Miami. Parking away from the Convention center doesn't seem to be a big issue. There is a bus line that makes a loop around South Beach that only costs a quarter. It drops you off at the Convention center. There is a shuttle bus that runs from the CC to the in water show in Miami. I hope this helps some. My plan is the make the trip again.
