Poker Run Biloxi,Ms!!!!!!!!! Need Input!!!
 

Hey guys i attended an meeting with "smokin the sound" committee last night. They would like to see a poker run incorperated into a 3 day fun filled weekend with OSS races in Biloxi ,Ms 21-23 may 2010, and want to do this poker run on Friday the 21. Saturday would be a pro am race and qualifying, and Sunday will be the races.
This is just the beginning i dont have a winning purse yet,and do not know cost but they really want to see this happen. I would like to really hear some input thank you !

thank you i will have more info at the beginning of the week, please let any body else knoew about the poker run. i do no i have a small group ou tof texas conmin over for the run, thanks again!

i do know the run will start at the dock in gulfport, and run around to shaggys in passchristain, and possible a stop out at ship island, and then to palace casino and end back at the dock in gulfport, i will have more specifics and detail some time this week! ido no there will be more stops not sure whare else thanks again!

The palace has slips and plenty dock space.

Wish we were going to be here. Hell, wish my boat was going to be here but the boat and I will be in KW that weekend. Hate that I'm gonna miss the PR but......................:evilb:

Might be,, just alot going on Royal Purple on the first and Jacksonville is June 5th.
Keep me updated and maybe the Palace can work some poker run rates.

ok guys its on! may 21 2010, i will have regestration form on line in the next couple of days soon, and email and contact everything is being put together write now.

$100 a hand
1-$1500
2-$500
3-$250

with the poker run entry, you will get t-shirt,wrist bands to any prime vewing areas for the races on sunday,a nd in to race village or some prime anchorage area to view tha races.

ok here is why their rates are so high,the hard rock doesnt have as many rooms as like the palace, beau. i was told that during that OSS weekend they fill that place up and they pretty much get what they ask for. on the other hand i was also told there were some rooms set aside for some of the race teams at a discounted rate. but its still not gonna be a cheap as the beau and the palace. i am in process of finding out just how much the discount is i will let you know, and if there gonna allow for more particapants at a cheaper rate.

Its going to be hard for us to be there fri.

i totaly understand, with such short notice. on the other hand we are getting some good responces. the guys SMOKIN THE SOUND started last year being a week long event. first weekend is smokin the lake at the dock bar and grill.and throught the week OSS teams arives and then to help kick things off will be the poker run. but i would really like to see you guys come down. i will be posting the stops later this week! thanks for your responce!

this is totaly different, he is doin his river bay poker run june 26, i believe the name is runnin with the dawgs! i think he stays mostly in the back bay area, this run were goin out to the islands for stops

It's great to see an interest in Poker Runs over here. Last years Runnin with the Dawgs was a real good run (especially considering it was the first one). There is alot of great boating in this area. The islands are definitely worth the trip. I hope Horn is in the stops...
I'll keep an eye out for the entry details.

Can we get slips at the Beau if we book a room there? Also could you see the races from a waterview room?

The marina hasn't been used at the Beau since Katrina.
You can see the races but much better on the pool deck

registration thursday,may20,6:00pm at the dockbar and grill, or friday,may 21, 8:30 am plus captains meeting at the dock. the poker hand drawing will take place at 7:00 pm that night.

this ought to be an intresting run, had a meeting last night with SMOKIN THE SOUND, and they were saying that some of the actual race boat will be partaking in the poker run, if they can get there dunk test done in time!
