Boat Yard facilities
We have private bathrooms, security-camera monitired parking lot for your trailer and truck, and a full-service restaurant/bar. The Boat Yard opens at 11am until 2am. Kitchen closes at 11pm. The 2 posts ahead of me pretty much covered it all! Thanks!!

Brad,
Has there been any discussion about a Wolf River run upstream on
Sunday after the Fun Run? I thought I read something about that last
year? I have fished from Weyauwega to Butte de Morts but never have
had the speed boat up there. That would be a cool lunchtime trip.

Friday there are some people going up the river. Sunday most people are packed up and going home. The river run is a lot of fun and you can go for long ways. I like to go with my brother-in-law who knows where to go. The lakes can be tricky knowing where you can and can not go. The river has a few no wake zones that are strictly enforced. Most poeple go as far as the bar/restaurant in Winneconne. Cool place I forget the name.

I think it's called the Fin & Feather.

Some are suggesting a run Friday afternoon up the Wolf River to Fremont WI to a nice place called Slip Knot. It is just past the Hwy 110 bridge. Can't miss it. River is plenty deep and the docks are large and can handle the biggest of boats. http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&rl...-8&sa=N&tab=wl

Awesome! We always considered Winneconne to be the
"bridge between the lakes" and not "up the Wolf". Although the
Fin 'n' Feather has nice docks and an excellent buffet, it is not really that
far from Lake Winnebago. Fremont as a destination is a really nice trip.
However, there have been a lot of changes the past couple of years.
The Slip Knot went bankrupt and was closed for a while. They are now
open as Channel Cats. This will be the best place for large boats to dock.
The Bridge Bar next door has decent docks and the small bar that just
reopened as Liquid Assets has a dock that is parallel to the river where
a few large boats might be able to "raft up" on each other. I know the
owner of The Fremont Hotel and he would love for us to come there
since June is not his busiest month. He would throw out the red carpet.
He and I walked his docks last week to see how we could fit a bunch
of boats. Darv suggested that small boats like mine nose in then we
could tie the large boats across the pilings and raft 2/4 deep. He says
a 30ft boat can nose in but I would not do it with anything much longer
than 27. He has a cement seawall and I like to stay away from it. All
of the places I mention are next door to each other and the managers
I talked to said if we did a little "bar hopping" from one to the next it
would be O.K. as long as we patronize the place we dock FIRST.
Hotel Fremont and Channel Cats have nice large decks. Food is good
at all the places but I prefer the chow at the hotel.
Orihula has two nice bars halfway to Fremont in case you are dying of
thirst. A few miles past Fremont is Red Banks which has a large dock
and is the last deep water spot in the area.
