Ohio Shootout, Caesar Creek State Park, 10-16-2010
Hi all. We're planning a get together at Caesar Creek State Park on Sat 10-16-10. In case of rain we'll bump it to Sun 10-17-10. Caesar Creek is 40 miles north of Cincinnati and 65 miles south of Columbus at exit 45 off I-71. Everyone welcome. Would love to see some fast v-hulls to try out my freshened 632 tall deck on. Who's interested.
Edit:
I'm going to add some more info to this initial post...
We're going to get there about 10:00 and stay until 4:00 or so.
http://www.offshoreonly.com/gallery/...hp?photo=18341 Here is a map of the lake with some notes.
We will bring a couple grills and fire them up in the parking lot at 12:30. We'll bring hot dogs, chips, plates, etc. If you want something different on the grill you're welcome to throw it on. BYOBeverage and chair.
We will attempt to take a group shot of the boats gathered in the no-wake zone just north of the bridge. We'll have someone drive up in a car, stop on the bridge, and take pics of the boats gathered below. Let's try to do this at 12:00.
There has been interest by some in stopping somewhere afterwords for food/drinks. The challenge of course is finding a place that can accommodate the trucks and trailers. The Buffalo Wild Wings in Lebanon has a empty grocery store parking lot across the street providing plenty of good visible parking. It is 11 miles/16 min from the boat ramp and is close to I-71. Address is 1248 Columbus Ave. Lebanon, OH 45036.
Let's all have FUN, be SAFE, and WEAR those life jackets when you're haulin' ass!

No fees, etc. Just an informal get together to air them out before snow flies. Can't really do a group run to lunch on Caesar Creek...would love to see you cats from up north but this will mostly be guys running them off and sitting around talking about it. A couple guys always bring radar guns and it would be nice if someone close has a pontoon.
For directions the park office address is 8570 E State Route 73, Waynesville, OH 45068. It is also the entrance you use to the boat ramp. Lets get there about 10:00 and stay until 4:00 or so.
For those who asked. My bucket-o-bolts is not real fast, but is fun and has a good bark. 632ci, 1250 Holley, Peterson dry sump, cnc Brodix, dry 4.5" Stainless Marine, 1.34 Imco SC, full hyd steer, 28 or 30 Bravo four blade.
