Guys, I am interisted in comming down to this event, but need some help in better understanding what the event is and what boat to bring.
I have an 18 Donxi 80 mph boat wild small block in it and a 32 Sutphen.
How long is the run?
Where do you put in?
If I bring the Donxi will I get beat up?
It looks like there will be some other Sutphens at the Run so I leaning that way. I just am not a fan of towing that beast for hours down 95 from the Cape.
Thank you for the help.
Dave

The larger boats typically put in in Old Saybrook and run up the river about 35 miles to just north of Rocky Hill ferry. We go to see all the fast outboards. The outboards launch in the Haddam Meadows state park area and run north. This is a charity event, we pull into the shore, put money in a jar, and have some pizza....
then watch "the boys" make some high speed passes!!!
it's a good time...watch your wakes!!!
either of your boats would be fine...!!!
but we do like to get the Sutphen clan together !!

Actually I would love to go but my 7 year old is grass dtagging year snowmobile on the 17th at the Terryville grass drags. Have fun I looking forward to the pics.
I was supposed to go this past weekend to the drags, but me and the wife got too banged up on Saturday night. The kids on the mini-sleds is fun to watch. Half of them crash into each other or run their parents over

Bringing the 18' Donzi is not an issue. There will be many more boats under 21' than over. Brobably 1 or 2 other 18' Donzis at the run too. Running all the way from Old Saybrook may be too much if it's cold out, but from Chester or Haddam will be fine...
