When I was at "Pizza Beach" last Sunday, the height gauge was 5.1ft, with a flow rate of about 15,000 CFS at Hartford. There was no beach , we would have been in the weeds .
On Tuesday, 3.23ft and 9,450 CFS We would have had very little beach .

The forecast for Sunday at morning high tide..... 9.0ft, flowing at 29,500 CFS

Ok, so really, rain or no rain, it still would have been a small beach and probably alot of mud! Just sucks, lots of boaters enjoy this day. Hard to plan for 2 weekends if 1 cancels and its gettin cold!

No with the rain there is no beach .
Yes without the rain there was a soft landing area .
Good ol' CT River silt .
Yes it's hard to plan for 2 weekends , I know , I work many weekends .
Of course it sucks and it is getting cold .
Last year we postponed to the 25th and it worked out fine , over 80 boats .
We hope for the best but it is what it is .

Not sure we can change that now without F ing people up?

How about we get together at the back of the Islamd at 12 then decide what to do from there. that way we dont have to go back to all these threads all over the place and re state what were doing.

I'm not sure about this...I, too, saw the numbers, but the graphs i saw put the river's height within a normal tidal range. +/- 1.5 feet....do we have any NOAA guys/girls here who could guide us?...if not, we should...

Nothing close to "normal" on the river today :D .
Gonna keep rising until tomorrow .
Saw 40 boats at Harbor Park .
Robb's Skater is beautiful , loved the sound of all those big blocks , the V-Drive was awesome !
Hope everybody got home safe and with nothing broken .
At Rocky Hill I saw a bowrider being towed with the lower unit broken right off .
Jeff , I saw your boat but couldn't find you .

Hi people, so my father is friends with Bret Lapena. He introduced us to the annual pizza run. We didn't know it was post-ponned, and so we went. Launched at Haddem Medows and went up to Harbor Park. Along the way there were a lot of logs and debris.
