It's just too long to type with too much background to cover.

The run was great and just like JOTJ you should have carried your azz down here for the run!!!!!!

Haha that was when I was a young gun and all about racking up that post count, even though of course I said I wasn't about that. I was like 13 or 14 give me a break!! haha

What a dumb post but got to 66 pages I believe...that is pretty sad!

Thank you.
I remember the "old days" and that didn't even dent your liver ...you could drink a 5th and piss distilled water...

It was nice to see you and Cindy, Charlotte really liked her.

BTW: The party was "Batboy" approved!

Well done MAPA. Well done.

This was a fantastic Poker Run, and my only disappointment is that I have not done this run sooner. Everything was first rate, and I can't decide what was the best part: The enagement and dedication of the sponsors; the overall interaction and support of the Susan G. Komen Foundation; or just the hearty good time spent with some of the best boaters in the country. Logistics were very well planned out, with personal attention to every attendee who needed fine details. And one of the coolest things is that the entire weekend was almost all-inclusive. Friday dinner, and 3 meals on Saturday; all from the sponsors, along with water, and ice; and they even had cold beer hand delivered to the docks when time and situation was appropriate! The run covered roughly 90 miles of bay, river, and ocean, and you got to see a LOT of beautiful scenery; both kinds. There was some great hardware in attendance, and last but not least the people; both on the run, and in the community; of which I probably had the most experience with. The run was also a great cap to the Virginia Poker Run Trifecta; of which Craig Mytelka won; a sponsor twice over; and graciously donated the winnings back to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, as did several of the other winners. (As someone with a very close connection to breast cancer, this means a lot--that people really thought this much of the charity.)

This run is ABSOLUTELY on my calendar for 2012.

And yes, while my truck was targeted based on previous events; the entire community, and friends in this crowd really showed their grace. They took care of cleaning and repairing the truck. As a matter of fact, MAPA contacted me to ask when they can send someone to my house to detail my truck. Seriously? This is the true heart of the people that put this Poker Run on; and the community around them including boaters not even in the event, the local Police Departments, and the Sponsors.

Brian, Great Comments…..Summed up very nicely….Sorry you had the issues….Look forward to seeing you next year both at Smith Mountain Lake and at our location in July…..That’s what it’s all about…Glad we could be there to assist you!!!

I think a few folks (myself included) gained a few pounds from all the food we provided.

Friday eve - Pasta, Shrimp, 2 kinds of Wings
Saturday Morning - Breakfast buffet with eggs, granola, bacon, grits and more.
Saturday lunch - Dogs, Burgers, and BBQ
Saturday appetizers delivered to those returning on the dock - shrimp and tuna.
Saturday Dinner - Steak, Chicken, salad, dinner rolls and more.

It was so good to see everyone, I had a great time! (I am told an even a better time Friday eve)

MANY thanks go to our food sponsors: Hooters, Elements of Waterside, Kokamoes, Outback Steakhouse Waterside!

I would like to throw a big thank-you out to Linwood Carneal and the other boats that stopped and checked on us when we had our little incident at the start of the run....very first class gesture
