Default LOTO Information needed

Hello, I am planning on attending the LOTO poker run and shootout in late August, I have never been there and would like to know where you might suggest to stay (motel on the water, cabin, etc) and dockage for the weekend? Thanks for you help!

I would suggest you stay at a condo around Dog Days at the 19MM, they're several in that area, Heron Bay, Legends that rent weekends and most come with slips.

There's a web-site that has them all, I'll have to try and find it for you.

That area (19-23MM) is the best, lots of bars/restaurants and you only have 20 miles each way up/down the lake to get to most of the good stuff.

Have fun, see ya here in August.

web site: www.vrbo.com Also if you check with the local chamber of commerace, they have a nice package they will send out to you that includes info on the lake, map etc.

I am guessing you are planning on Shootout weekend.... This is THE BIGGEST event at the lake of the year, so if you are planning on attending, you will want to get your rooms ASAP.

There is also a Poker run In june, "Support the Troops" run, there is a couple of threads on here about that run, In my opinion, it is the best Poker Run at the lake each year...

But truly the week of Shootout; it doesnt get any better than that for the Performance Boater!!!!!

I stayed here for the weekend at the last shootout...

Peaceful Valley resort

The good news: The cabins are awesome and the people are great. The boat ramp is a little small but would be fine for anything under 35'.

The bad news: The resort roads and the road going to it are gravel/dirt. I was not aware of this before I booked my cabin there and I had to do a ton of cleaning all weekend on my boat to keep the dust/dirt off of it.

I love tan tara because they are the only place I have found with a 24 hr cancellation policy..... If weather is going to suck I don't have to waste a lot of cash to haul 7 hours

I enjoy staying at Lands End. I just booked a week there July 1st to 8th. Good docks and close to a lot of activity if that's what you want. I can't wait.
