I just wanted to thank Anthony for putting this together, I've set up similar things for a car club several times and I know the work that is involved. It was nice to meet a such bunch of great people and we had a fun time even if my little 21 foot lake boat wasn't able to keep up, especially in the rough stuff. Hoping to see some of you out on Greenwood Lake this weekend.

Thanks for the kind words. I really enjoy putting stuff like this together. Im thinking we need one at the end of June begging of July? And someone else suggested also a 9/11 run to commemorate the 10 year anniversary?
Also "PLEASE" remember to purchase photos from Sharkey's web site. He comes to our events on his own dime and is trying to make a living by selling pictures and the other items with your picture on it. So I need everyone to support him so that he will continue to show at all our events to capture those special moments. He is in the process of loading photos from the weekend so check his site periodically. It takes a lot of time for him to shoot, upload, and promote. SO please help....

So yesterday was great but I think today was even better.... We ran both days with an emphasis on photos. Yesterday we set up Sharkey in front of some very iconic backgrounds like Statue of Liberty, the Freedom Tower, Empire State Building etc. The whole group then ran large circles around Sharkey so that he could get multiple pictures of each boat.
Today we did the same thing but ran north to Kingston NY. We stopped and shot in front of West Point Military Academy, Bannermans Castle and the light house at Round out creek.
Even though we had small groups each days we had a ton of fun and couple of real troopers. Like ATC250R who ran the whole 100 mile run today in a 21 foot boat and his first time on the river.
PatBrennan who had 7 people on a 27 foot Fountain who we nick named Family Guy because everybody kept forgetting his name and he had the most family members on the second smallest boat in the bunch. Even with kids in tow he achieved some great air shots and Sharkey captured it all.
I think these two new runners are hooked on the fun and will return to future runs.
We had no break downs of any sorts, nobody ran out of gas, and no issues at either restaurant.
So all in all we had a great weekend and I would like to thank all the participants for coming out and enjoying a great weekend. Hope to see everyone on the next run.

Thanks for putting this together and forcing the "Family Guy" to take his boat out of wraps early. Was a fun time, and all the kids, including myself, had a good time.
Family Guy...not to be confused with the cartoon character....

Pat,
You fueled up in the creek too, right? You have any running problems after that? I think there was some water in that fuel. Gonna pull the separator today and find out. First time in over 10 years I bought fuel on the water and this happens.
