Haven't looked at the long term weather, is it supposed to rain the rest of the week down that way? If the rain does hold off after today will the river still be that litered with debris?

30ct, I'm in the same situation as you are. The spring run is usually before we are out of storage or ready for the season and the fall run is usually the the weekend before our deadline to be in storage. This is the only one that actually worked for us.

I'd be in for a reschedule.

+1 on the debris. Taking the ferry to work today I saw either the hugest part of a tree or an old telephone poll in the water.

Is it official/final that the run for this weekend (8/20) is cancelled?

If the weather holds out and we get no or minimal rain the next couple of days will the river still be a mess? Just asking, haven't been down the river in years and when were on it, it was nice out.

After the severe rains we had up until today there could be debris for a week or so coming down the river. Especially in the east river and hells gate because all the debris gets funneled from the long island sound into these areas then down the Hudson to the ocean. Last year we had a fellow boater hit a 2x6xabout 10' long in the east river. Now we were only doing about 20 mph just barely on plane. It spun his boat around 90 degrees and he blew a drive. Now if we were just a little faster and it pulled the drive off the boat he would have went down and who knows what the outcome would be. This is FUN RUN not lets get hurt..Hence my cancellation.

If the weather clears up next week who is available the 27th or Sept 3rd? I know its labor day weekend but what better weekend to be boating? Maybe not going to long island but we can put something together.
