Where is the place to be if you bring your boat to be a spectator?

Personally we have watched from a few spots. First in front of one water street boyne city there is a lap made at the start by all participant's make sure you out a ways so not in the way. Round lake in charlevoix is neat because it is a no wake zone and you get see everyone idle thru. Our favorite was out in front if the pier in lake Michigan. Get to watch everyone open them up usually pretty good waves sometimes good air also. Neat to go thru channel before hand people are shoulder to shoulder on the peir.

Is the speed limit on Lake Charlevoix lifted for BT weekend?

Great event by the way. Been a spectator the past 4 years. Very well organized.

A few years we got DNR ok for 85, changing of the guard, new lady is a little tough. 55mph!! Respect the DNR boat on Lake Charlevoix!!! She makes the Sheriff and Coast Guard look like Cub Scouts.

Checked out parking for truck and trailers at Sommer Set for Boyne Thunder, 10 to 12 spots to park across the street. Good choice for the Marshal Boats to use!
