Radar Runs – Course can be a minimum of .75 to a maximum of 2.0 miles. There will be approximately a start up area of .25 -.50 miles before the first marker or green flag from a Pace boat. There will be at least a .50 – 1.0 mile shut down area. When a Pace boat is on the course, the Starter will make the final decision of a start or a wave off. In the event of a wave off, the driver will return to the start up area and await new start signs. After a green flag the driver will continue on the course until passing the end marker or a checkered flag. The radar gun will be at the finish line. The driver will immediately shut down and bring their boat to a safe speed for returning to the pits or start up area for an additional pass. A certificate of speed will be presented to the driver. In the event of multiple runs, the certificate will be issued for the highest speed achieved. |
