Myself and fellow boaters are making plans to bring our boats to Abay for the June poker run. I've seen no date posted although it typically Father's Day weekend. I hope this event happens, any body heard anything?

Now that my motor is together and plan to do the run next year I hear about the fun police crashing the party... go figure.

Abay's run is June 14-15. There is three other Poker Runs America events going on the same dates. To comment on the "party crashers" if you obey they speed zones the normally leave you alone.

How do so many #1 stories sound so similar ?

In all seriousness, they won't bother registered participants for noise.

They do however frown on triple digit buzzes of the bay.

cus we dont have that built in muffler that adds 3 feet to our boats when at idle

we went up for a good time of boating. i just couldnt swing the astronomical entry fee so i was a watcher. i got mufflers for this year tho!!!

I'm originally from the Abay area. They normally leave you alone, it does happen though. As always there is usually someone that ruins it for others. I've heard worse stories about lake George and for that reason won't go there. It's a shame the bay gets has gotten that reputation.
