Without question this was the best Poker Run of 2014. We had a blast, the setting is awesome, people are super friendly and the entertainment was off the hook. Unfortunately our new boat won't be ready in time so we're out this year. I encourage everyone to do this run, definitely one of our all time favorites..

I had a few questions regarding trailering in a large boat for the poker run.
I have a 38 ft formula and it is a wide load so I have to have special permits from MS and LA to trailer it from Alabama. I don’t want to waste my time getting those if I’m going to run into issues once I get there.
1) Is there any place to keep the boat in the water overnight? or does everyone pull out Friday night?
2) Is there a place to park the truck, trailer and boat overnight at the marina?
3) If not, is there a recommended hotel that can accommodate.
I am sure there are some orange beach locals that head over so any advice would be helpful.

My boat has an 11 foot beam... anything over 10 feet is considered a "wide load" and requires an oversize permit. Its cheap to get one. You just cannot trailer at night and there are certain roads you can't travel on due to small bridges. The tunnels in Mobile, AL are off limits. You have to get permits in every state you pass through.
