Was considering going to Kingston thousand islands run this year. Last year on entry only had 2 groups/ classes under 55 and over 100. What about the majority of us that are in between and cruise at about 70mph? Can someone who has gone give me some info on this run and how it works? Course distance would be helpful as well.

Go to the buffalo run instead!

^^^^^^yup. 25 boats at kingston or 150 at buffalo with 1/3 the price, no borders to worry about etc etc. i've been to the kingston run a few times and not so friendly up there, nice place but not so friendly. you will enjoy buffalo, i can promise you that! a lot closer for you too

I'm kinda partial but the BPR is great value and in your case a couple hrs closer.

you should for sure come to the kingston run! we need to bring powerboating back up to the islands! it is one of the most expensive runs ive heard about... ($600 entry $250 a person after driver nav) beautiful place none the less!

I am also partial to the Buffalo run, I do wish these runs were on a different weekend so I could go check it out, but to be honest I's go as a spectator, thats just simply a different level then I am at, the big boats are cool, and we have them also, but its nice being surrounded bye so many that are in the 50/70mph class and not feeling left out like I have heard about that run

Kingston run us strictly a business deal (pra) they can not do it any cheaper if they want to stay in "business" . It's not a club where you get plenty of support and people aren't trying to line their pockets. The 1000 islands will never be what it once was. They have refused to cooperate with buffalo on dates, their loss. Nobody wants to spend 3/4 k on a run that only has 30 boats

Guys, You may be able to do both runs. Let's keep our fingers crossed. Heard they my change the date. As for the cost, most will never know the hidden costs of running a poker run weather it is non profit or for profit. Maybe they just need to spend the money to improve value for the participants and less for the spectators.

Thanks for the input. The reason I asked about Kingston instead of buffalo is because Kingston falls after boyne thunder and buffalo is before. I don't run the boat hard but don't want to break it before boyne. Boyne is expensive but to me worth it. Boyne entry fee is $650.
