Loto 2004

Hi everyone-

This is going to be my first time going down to the LOTO this summer and I am wondering a few things. First what are the dates of the 2004 Shoot out. Also are thier beaches to pull up and spend the night or do you have to rent a hotel room? If you have to rent a hotel room are thier hotels that have docks to use? If you have any other useful information please let me know. Thanks
Don
Pray for a short winter and a long hot summer!

Shootout is the week-end before labor day no beaches that I have ever seen you can stay at hotels on the water or rent a condo alot of them have slips to rent for the night or you can rent a slip at the state park if you like to sleep in your boat get ready for the time of your life its unreal and hold on its a ruff ride have fun

Do you have any information on the state park that rents slips? How rough can it be? I have a 33 formula SR1 that should be OK? Shouldn't it?

There are a few campgrounds in the state park (Grand Glaize arm) I know at least one of them has a dock can't remember the name I think its Camp Hawthorne, need reservations early on a busy weekend. Public Beach #2 rec area has slips, don't know the phone number.

I didn't know that you could stay at part cove all night. Do a lot of people end up spending the night there? Not to sound stupid, but I have never been to the ozarks were is party cove?

ive heard alot of people stay all night however ive never done it myself.

party cove is in the state park , a short distance from the grand glaize bridge.

duck,
I would strongly recomend that you contact PMG(professional management group, it's on the web) and rent a condo, especially if you are travelling with others(it makes it pretty cheap and makes for a lot of comfort). I have stayed at four or five of the condo's (they have about twenty to choose from) but my favorite is the Ledges. It is right next door to Shooters and also near the Grand Glaize Bridge (you'll have to cross under it to get to party cove). As for people staying in party cove it is mostly the house boats and a few small cruisers, everyone else is out at the bars...there is four good ones to choose from. Best of luck and I hope this helps...Bring your aspirin, you'll need it.
