It was an excellent run for the first attempt with 24 boats. The entire community made every boater feel welcome and the level of service, food, entertainment etc. was first class. More boaters should make an attempt at seeing how beautiful the area is up there and how condusive it is to boating. With respect to the charity they raised over $40,000.00. They plan to limit the event to 50 boats to maintain the status and I would recommend it.

I don't believe any of the proceeds from the $1000.00 entry go to charity. The only money that goes to charity is what they raise at the auction. It's still better than nothing for the charity but there is a lot of room for improvement!
