I've never been but am thinking about coming. How many boats are they projecting? Where is the best, cheap place to stay on the water? It looks like there is a lot to choose from. Jamestown, State Park Lodge???

I have been the last two years running and am going again this year. We stay on a friends houseboat. You probably need to get you a room ASAP if they are not all gone by now. It is an aggressive run. Probably 100 boats minimum.

Summer Heat

Very new to the Poker Run scene. We are going to be at Dale Hollow the week before and thought we would trailer over Saturday to take this all in.

Could anybody recommend a good place to anchor in and catch maybe the start and finish. Also how long does this run usually last?

Just recently got a boat that we would feel comfortable entering but would like to watch one of these before we do.

The start out of State Dock is good to watch but it can get VERY crowded as everyone wants to get close and before you know it the path for the run is full of spectators. The best spot for a speed run is down in front of the dam as they are on the way to Grider.I doubt I run it this year as I have too many people with me so if you want to hook up and watch it for a while let me know.
