Re: RPBA & Baltimore/Red Eyes Trip
Wow, glad mother nature held out. Looks like an awesome time was had by all.
Two of the original boats from our area were broke, and the other has duty caring for his dad this week that ended up nixing the run for him. Me I had long time prior commitments to attend to and wasn't signed up. I'm thinking ahead to next year when I have less family things to attend to. Weekend was pretty much a wash out down here.
Mo pics?

Re: RPBA & Baltimore/Red Eyes Trip
So, to continue our saga....we started out Thursday night changing out the circuit board for the AC, praying that it was the problem. (Turns out that was not the case...the compressor is the problem and another unit is on order to replace the whole system including a high velocity fan for the cabin.)
As we launched that boat, Bill notices the center tire on the left side is not sitting right. We dock the boat, test the A/C (with no success), and take a look at the trailer. Since the A/C wasn't working, plan B was to launch at Sandy Point and stay on a friends boat in Baltimore, meeting up with everyone there. So, we were able to get seven of the eight lugnuts off...the eigth one was a pisser. The lugnut and stud were spinning. Dropped the trailer in the parking lot and went back to the house. Got the generator and compressor loaded into the back of the truck and went back to the marina parking lot and borrowed an impact gun. That didn't work. Everthing is still spinning.
After numerous calls and a few hours in the heat, we limp the trailer back to the house (1/2 mile away). Found a friend with a portable welder. So, first picture is after we get it back to the house. The next one is Bill, Steve and Dave preparing to weld the back of the stud so it would stay put while we spin the lugnut off. And, then, Dave playing the part of the welder while Bill and Steve look on (praying).
