I wouldn't even consider a composite type gasket between an iron block and an aluminum head. You'd be much better off spending the money for Cometic gaskets. Plus if it ever has to come apart again...

I mounted my box on the transom to reduce vibration and heat and the coil on a plate on the back of the starboard cylinder head. Both are on isolators.

The A-1000 leaves room to grow. If returning the fuel to the tank the pump nor the fuel is going to build any significant heat.
