My opinion... and we all know what to say about opinions.... Is that I would rather have a triple engine NT than a quad. I just think that they are a better setup. You can't go wrong with either. ;)...

Find out from NorTech how the boat will run down one engine on each setup. What I'm getting at, is in the event of a failure on open water; how miserable is your trip home going to be?

A 22' Liberator with a 300V8 compared to a 400R on the same boat, the 400 has a higher top end but the 300 has a better...

I would have to think the 300's are much less stressed. Same size motor yet 150HP less. If you plan to put a BUNCH of hours on and want them to last a lot of hours just seems something with less...

Just an uneducated quess but I would go with three 400s, as you said... less weight and drag. I would also add more simplicity, and less maintenance.
