Don't know but it gets pretty uncomfortable and I think with the No-Tech they would not see much as it rides quite bow high.
P1 Management used to say that up to 100 mph you are safe if you fly and hit the water, that is why the open versions had a speed limit of 80mph in 2007, 85 in 09, and 90 mph this year.

Yes you are right. But even last year SOB Nor-Tech 388 used to ride bow high, altough not as much the 427.

Having won seven races in the 38' including rough and calm water I can tell you the boat was balanced. And it was a sit down boat as well and we could see fine. My guess is the 427 is similarly well balanced. I hate to Monday morning quarterback anyone but the boat looked over trimmed to me, especially heading into a rough corner like that one. Nevertheless, that was not an extraordinary shot. Seems to me he would have stayed in the boat with a tighter fitting bolster or seat.

How did the Fountain handle?

a stand up boat vs. a sit down boat are two very different boats.

there is no debating which one is more stable!
