NYC Brunch Run

Good thing you caught it! I had an Idle air control valve go on mine this past week, set the alarm off and put t he motor in gardian mode. I could not find one on Friday, thanks to Tim another OSO member ( and a 33 Powerplay owner ) brought me up one from his marina down south and in 10 minutes we were up and runnig on full power for the poker run. Thanks Tim!!!

Ken-
It was great to meet you and Tim up there. I promise you, I'll have my boat up there next spring! I had a blast up there and wished I could have stayed longer. I had lunch with Sonny and Dominic, so I heard a couple pretty good stories
The NYC brunch run was great. Beautiful day, and there was a really good turnout (there is a thread in the general discussion with a few pics). A Skater with turbines showed up and literally was doing laps around the rest of us. One minute he'd blast by from behind us, a few minutes later, he'd come tearing back toward us, and a few minutes later, he'd come blasting back by from behind us!! It was my first time down into the City by boat, and man was that East River a challenge. It reminded me of a video game between the crazy cross-chop, floating debris, floating/anchored obstacles, barge traffic, and we were doing 70+ mph through it. Needless to say, it kept your concentration focused on driving! What a ride though! I was even more impressed than ever at the way this PP ran!

Active, It's a small valve that controls the air flow to the throttle body, it also controls the idle RPM's. The motor ran fine but the computer put it in guardian mode and cut the power to 90%. I don't think you have one on the 500's, but I'm not sure.

JROMY, to bad you guys didn't run in the blue group with us, wow what a time. Read Tim's post in the PP picture thread. Glad everything went good in NYC. I've done that run around Manhattan a few years ago, up throw hells gate and all. We put in in Albany and drove down there when they had the offshore races in the city. That water is scary!
