I have a extra HP500 from my 33 PowerPlay that I was looking for a home and I found this one. I bought this from a guy that went threw some kind of a nasty divorce years ago and his wife had the boat and he couldnt winterize it, so the block cracked with only 55 hours on the meter. He took the motor out and never got around to fixing it. He is in the National Guard and is being called to active duty in Iraq, So he was liquidating unfinished projects. Found the boat in the potato farmlands down in S.Jersey.

Looks like a cool project. What are the foot rests made of? Mine doesn't have any and I would like to put some in.

Got all the old style imron graphics off today. The sides and transom are all sanded out and ready for paint. The top and bottom are like new,I am leaving the factory white gell on those and limiting my new graphics to the sides only, just have the transom assembly to remove. And its ready for the booth. I left the Powerplay emblems on until I can stencil them for replacement when I'm done with the new colors, House of color- Tangerine, with dark orange to gray tribal flames. The interior went to a shop today and is already pulled apart.

The footrests are plywood laminated with resin, they covered them with that commercial gray carpet on the sides and Perelli flooring on the useable side. I went outside and took a picture for you, If you need measurements just let me know, they fit great and you can still get in the cabin.

Re: Project 25 PowerPlay

Thanks! If you get a chance measurement would be perfect. So far all I have done is push my knees against the dash to hold me in. Did you wet sand the graphics off? My plan is to get rid of my Pink and baby blue paint and go all white. Maybe a small Powerplay logo on the rear/side. Pretty much what your boat looks like now is my goal.

Before you decide to take the graphics off, really think it out, On a PowerPlay its a big commitment. The gel is real thin,And the imron graphic paint is real durable. I used a special fiberglass stripper,(made for vette's), then I machined what was left with 6" 600 gritt velcro backed discs. You really have to know how to machine sand or you can make your boat look as wavy as a bayliner. You can burn threw the gelcoat on a PowerPlay instantly. You probally would be better off taping the original graphics and changing the color to what you like. Ill get you the measurements tomarrow on the steps.

I hear ya...I have a pathetic gay name on the side of my boat  Why the original owner didn't have that done in vinyl is beyond me

What is it with these Miami boats and their paint? Awesome boats/baaad paint. Yours is actually pretty cool Indy, mine is random pink lines and splashes of baby blue.

Thanks...yea, my paint scheme and colors are fine, it's just that retarded name that gets on my nerves. However, it didn't bother me enough to pass up the boat :D I love these PPs!!

Fullthrottle-offshore ,

I stopped to check out the boat today , nobody home but the dogs were barking pretty good . I jumped in her , real nice boat , I can't believe how much room is up in the cabin . My only question is will you keep it long enough to actully get it in the water ?

Indy, that is also on the deck of my boat. Unless you are a doctor or chiropractor, people have no idea what it means. If I paint the boat, I'll change it.

PPlay33 - Do you have the boat with the 5-man standup bolster setup? I have a Poker Runs America magazine with a picture of that boat (there can't be that many Subluxators out there)...

JROMY, That is my boat. The original owner was a doctor. When I saw Indys I was surprised to see the name. There was also a Corsa raceboat with that name.

I was out on the Island working today.... The dogs were barking for a boat ride, you should have taken them.....They dont care if its in the water, you could have hooked it up and towed them around town,Kind of like a sleigh ride.I was thinking of putting the PP in the front yard with Santa in it and some lights, come on over this week-end and help decorate.

I have a 25 with outboards and the paint scheme is ok except the teal stripe thats 1980,s miami. Going to cover it with blue and keep the kangaroo paint job. I thought powerplay use PPG products? Read it in a magazine before? My footrest are tubular(like hadicap rails) and the cabin is open in front with the underside of the dash exposed. New autometer gauges and gps speedo. I would not use the angled bezels again probally go with flat ones. jay.

I owned that boat in your post at one time. Most of the boats at that time were painte by Kangaroo Grahics and had a "distinctive style". :D

Fred, I sent you an e-mail to Trick earlier about this. I was wondering what the history was on my boat and if you had owned this one.

Not yet...been busy with house re-hab work and my project has taken a back burner for the time being.....the next pictoral will probably be a "how-to" on serviceing the impeller on an Alpha drive since i'm putting that back on my stinger project instead of the bravo swap i was originally intent on doing. And later i'll probably do one on how to install the transom assembly on the boat.... :)

Hey Wally , keep that 222 project going , I have a good friend with a 222 . He runs a 502 blower motor and a bravo spinning a 30 pitch 4 blade , fun little boat . Do yours up , you won't be sorry .
