Oz, so you think I should have 3 blades?

I was thinking about 3 blades too because Mike (Lickitysplit) has some good results with them, but I'm concerned about using them in the type of water we boat in (Long Island Sound). More often then not we're out of the water and I'm concerned that the blades won't have enough "bite" upon re-entry to keep the momentum up. I know they don't get the boat on plane as well as a four blade, but I'm not concerned about that. Any thoughts anybody?

Sure...that and 15,000hp engines will get me over 45mph too LOL!! :p

PPlay33 02-22-2007 05:43 PM

the 2 Powerplays I have run 3 blades on did not handle or ride as well as the boats did with 4 blades. The slower boat with 500's did run 83.2 gps with 3 blades vs. 82.1gps with 4 blades, but you better be good with the wheel cause it was very loose with the 3 blades. Try both if at all possible before you buy 3 blades, and in the water you normally boat in.

Thanks. For 1 mph I dont think i'm going to make the change and give up the drivability.
