Default best props???

What do you guys reccomend for a 33 with 500HP's???

I have 28P Hydromotives with the spacers in the drives...
I'm leaning twards Bravo 1 4 blade and lose the spacers, should I stay with 28's? should I lab them?

Most likely late summer swap due to the fact I want to go thru both engines and drives over the winter...........

I tried a pair of 4 blade 27" hydromotives and it killed my cruise spped.

I would also suggest a pair of labbed 28 B-1's.

If you can't get to the max rpms for your engine, then labbing is the next step. You'll have to make some test runs to figure that out. Contact Bret at BBlades or Julie at Throttle up for suggestions on how to get more performance out of your prop once you get the numbers. Get the rpm/speed (gps) in 500 rpm increments all the way to WOT.

If you are going to leave the 500s stock on the freshening then go with a labbed 28. If you plan to increase power you will need 30 labbed bravos.

I'm debating on the rebuilds....I might try to squeese another 75-100hp out of them or just put them back to stock... it's something I'll have to figure out over the summer....

Between 4 people we have roughly 50 hours just into scrubbing and cleaning the boat (haven't even touched the outside yet) and plan on running it quite a bit this weekend...

If it runs real good I might skip the rebuilds till next winter and concentrate on the bulkheads this winter ( foam vaccum bagged) and thought/ heard B1's and taking off the spacers would be a cheap way to get some speed without sacrificing driveability............
