First of all if resale is any concern for you go with Cig. I think Power Plays are a great boat, way better then a Baja or Scarab, but they are definitely no Cigarette. Go for a ride in a Gun and tell me what you think. This no knock on the Power Play but they are in different leagues. I do however believe that repowering your boat will be cheaper then upgrading to an 02-03 gun.

NO CHANCE !!!!!

KEEP THE PP and kick some A$$ with it !

Where ever the CIG runs thru,,the PP will stay right there with u ,even thogh its only 32.7 feet long !!!!
HAVE U EVER BEEN IN A PP ?????

LOL You know that statement is from someone who has never set foot in a Powerplay. I have read that the 33 and the 38 are in a league of thier own, by people who have owned or ridden in one. Including OSO Steve and many others on the board.

A friend of mine has a 38 ( the fastest ever build )
Its a great ride and yes better handling then the 33.

But i think u be just fine in the 33 with twin 700's !!!!!

If u have the spare money ,,hell , then sell the 33 and buy a 38 PP but u will not gain much.
It will definitely handle some bad water better then the 33 or any other 38 out there.

But like i said unnecessary.

I think building new power for your Powerplay would be much less costly in the long run if 90+ is important to you.
Your 33 will run right there with a 38 in the rough. As far as resale who knows??? I don't think any boat has a good resale. There are only so many 33 Powerplays out there. I like that there aren't a bunch of them around. It is a bit more unusual to see one. Don't get me wrong the Cig is a great boat but I wouldn't spend the extra money to get one.

This is the Maui Jim boat, which is still around and very reliable.

The 38 will not be any faster nor ride any better with notches. Plus, will not have brand new power and will be going through a bravo anyway....which is the weak link.
Do know what issue that article was would I really like to read it thanks

Someone asks for an opinion and you guys jump all over it. If you believe everything you read then start will all the world championships won by Cigarette. Again no knock on PP I would buy one before a Formula or a Fountain. And to answer your other question I have ridden in a 38 PP but like yours it was on a lake so I can't say much the ride through real slop.
