Good thing about a tank is you can fill it when you need it and empty it when you dont, where just adding weight will hurt a bunch when you don't need it. the farther forward you put it the less amount you need.

hey can you please tell me what speeds this boat was doing max. and wat would a 25 sports deck do with twin 2.5 260/280's or twin 300xs promax wat will yhe speeds be thanks. i have one and want to rigg it to reach great speeds to race in and just to be a fun beach day boat, and whats the fastes this hull can go? and with >? thanks!

...and a sizable bow tank adds a big polar moment of inertia which can have a negative impact on pitch stability. Shifting the large masses (engines) to achieve the desired Lcg position (with a small bow tank to fine tune) works much better from a dynamic stability perspective.
