That boat was rigged at John Tomlinson's, not PowerPlay and wasn't dialed in at all. I'm sure with some tuning it would have hit 90+ without much effort. It was one of the only if not the only 33 with sporty shorties and PowerPlay hadn't performed a set-up on it yet. Steve1, please correct me if I'm wrong but I know JROMY and his boat well. Plus it's going to do well in the slop, these aren't lake boats. My hull didn't come to life unless it was choppy out. If someone smokes me in the flat I could care less, I bought it for it's rough water performance and predictable handling.

OK and a 35 Fountain with staggered 525's runs 105.....The point is yes they were awesome (and still are) boats but to be competitive in 2010 the boat needs to be updated. Efficiency = speed and more importantly today fuel economy!

105 down river, with the wind at your back, a gallon of fuel left, and 6 inch ripples.............the staggered 35 fountain has about the smallest cockpit i have ever seen on a pleasure boat. Also, for running surface a 33PP would better be compared to a 38 fountain when you minus the 5 feet for the beak, notched transom, and built in swim platform.

They like a little chop under them then the bottom is aerated without the steps.
